I have been teaching Bradley classes for 13 years. My husband, Chris, and I have three children: Zach age 21, Alex age 20, and Maggie who is 14.
It is very important to me that my parents go into birth feeling prepared and knowledgeable. Fear has no place in labor. In fact, it can really hamper the progress of greeting your baby! So, I work very hard to make sure that parents are ready for the challenges of labor and the joyful, yet sometimes daunting, experiences of being a new parent.
For the past 28 years, I have been a classroom teacher, and I am currently teaching English at Creighton Prep High School. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Science degree in Education. I am fully certified with the American Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth and fulfill recertification requirements yearly.
Childbirth can be a JOYFUL experience.

I am a practicing Bradley Instructor and doula in the metropolitan area with three years of experience. But my passion goes back 20 years, with the birth of my first child. Having left that experience feeling like an observer, instead of a participant in my child’s birth, I sought another way. The Bradley method taught me how to make informed choices for my family and birth experience. It taught me how to prepare my body, mind, and spirit for the most intense experience of my life. In other words, with the natural births of my next two children, Bradley empowered me and helped form me into the woman I am today.
These are the principles I strive to pass on to my clients. Because of this foundational belief in the birth process, I have been described by my clients and medical professionals, as “calm” with a “laid back” style…my job is the backstage prompter, engaging only when a line is forgotten.
Preparation and belief in yourself, your partner, and your medical team are the essential components of a successful natural birth experience. You can realize all of these in your Bradley method training.
